AGM 2020 CHANGES

AGM 2020 Update

April 17, 2020

Re: SAY AGM 2020 Changes

Dear SAY Soccer Leadership and Members,

Since 1967, SAY Soccer’s members have organized events for nearly 4 million kids in the United States. The recent COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on our daily lives and has halted our ability to participate in team sports. SAY Soccer continues to take measures assuring the organization is ready to serve our members when the time is right.

The SAY National Board of Directors has decided to transition the historically in-person Annual General Meeting (AGM) to a video conference. This change has been made with thoughtful consideration to our members’ health, well-being, travel, time and precious financial resources.

The webinar will follow the same schedule as our in-person annual meetings and will be in full compliance with SAY Soccer’s Constitution, Bylaws and the Ohio Revised Code.

The schedule of events is set to last less than 90 minutes and will include: SAY National President’s report, National Executive Director’s report, SNRRC report, Finance Committee report, elections for open board positions and discussion on any proposed rule changes.

SAY Soccer will communicate frequently leading up to the meeting to assure members have access to registration, voting procedures and the webinar log in/conference call information.

Three positions on the National Board of Directors are up for election. Nominations are being accepted for the Regional Director positions for Region 4 and Region 5 as well as one At-Large Director position. A link to nomination applications can be found by clicking HERE
