Xavier University Case Study - SAY

Over the last few months, SAY National has been in collaboration with students and faculty from the Xavier University Williams College of Business to develop marketing strategies that address core SAY challenges.

Students were put into small groups and tasked with proposing creative solutions to challenges like player retention, volunteer recruitment, and bolstering ancillary programs. Through a competition format, the goal was to encourage fresh thinking, practical problem-solving, and the ability to tackle real-world business challenges.

The proposals were carefully evaluated by a panel of SAY staff, who based their decisions on criteria such as innovation, practicality, and overall impact.

We were blown away by the thoughtfulness and ingenuity of every proposal!

And now to announce the winning group ….

Please join us in congratulating Will Ballantine, Molly Benson, Alex Hamilton, and Shehab Hussein for their outstanding proposal!

Their proposal, offering fitness classes for SAY parents while their kids practice, stood out for its creativity, feasibility, and impact. SAY staff were particularly impressed by the group’s analysis of competition and detailed outline of implementation.

To Will, Molly, Alex, and Shehab – a huge congratulations once again! SAY is excited to refine this proposal and roll the program out to SAY members in 2025, stay tuned for more details!

SAY National would like to thank Xavier faculty members Karen Eutsler, Tom Hayes, Bryan Buechner, Christine Luzar, Jennifer Powell, and James Loveland for their roles in making this competition a success.

To all the marketing students who participated in this client project – a big THANK YOU for your creativity and innovate proposals! We were honored to be selected and to have the chance to review such brilliant contributions.
