SAY Soccer is really excited to announce a new program for our community: SAY Esports! SAY Esports is a place for SAY players, coaches, and alumni to connect and compete through video games.
Our team has been following the growth of esports (the competitive playing of multiplayer video games) for the last few years and trying to figure out if (and how) esports could fit into SAY Soccer. We believe esports can provide us and each of our members a new digital way to engage with, compete against, and fundraise from our athletes—through friendly leagues and tournaments in the video games that our own team and your players love to play (such as FIFA and Rocket League).
To make SAY Esports a reality, we’re partnered with the leading platform in recreational esports, Mission Control. The Mission Control platform makes it simple to build, gather, & grow a gaming community by combining a web app that guides organizers through hosting esports activities with a mobile app that provides players the medium to game & gather. Mission Control has worked with organizations like Cinemark, the University of Kentucky, & the City of Las Vegas to build, gather, and grow a gaming community through recreational esports leagues and tournaments.

We are kicking things off with two esports tournaments in early May: FIFA 23 and Rocket League 2v2. Players of all ages are invited to sign up and compete for brand new soccer balls and SAY swag. To get started, download the Mission Control iOS app and register today: bit.ly/sayesports.
