Earlier this month, SAY National staff traveled to Chicago to attend the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Convention as an exhibitor.

Billed as “The World’s Largest Annual Gathering of Soccer Coaches and Administrators” the United Soccer Coaches Convention and US Youth Soccer Workshop draws more than 6,300 coaches, and more than 13,000 attendees.

SAY staff occupied booth 435 in the exhibit hall and used the opportunity to network with soccer professionals from all around the world. SAY coaches from Oxford SAY in Ohio and Key City Soccer in Iowa were also in Chicago to take advantage of the educational opportunities.

SAY met with national partners Score Sports, UK International, Positive Coaching Alliance, and Dick’s Sporting Goods, while also meeting with new potential partners to improve the organization.

On Friday night, SAY hosted a private event in Downtown Chicago for our partners, as well as the SAY coaches attending the convention. Following the event, the SAY staff enjoyed a comedy show at the Laugh Factory.

Overall, the staff had an extremely positive experience in terms of networking, education, and introducing new staff to the convention world.
